There are a variety of jobs throughout the assembly line process that can accommodate young children and people with special needs. Children age 5 and up can participate in Rise Against Hunger’s meal packaging program. According to the Rise Against Hunger folks, 40-50 people can pack the 10,000 meals in two hours, so if we have a more than that - HOPEFULLY WE WILL - we will be able to complete this outreach in even less time than two hours. We are looking for at least 50 volunteers for two hours-plus seven to ten folks who can lift 50 pounds to help load the truck. Messiah has committed to hosting a Pack-A-Thon on Sunday, Apto pack 10,000 meals. Driven by the vision of a world without hunger in our lifetime, Rise Against Hunger seeks to mobilize the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable.
